From the first sketch to the finished candle, every Lume creation follows an entirely Tuscan design and production process, bringing together specialised skills and local artisanal expertise.
FLORENCE — Original Design
Every candle begins in Florence, where Lume develops original designs inspired by the city's artistic, architectural and decorative heritage.
PIETRASANTA — 3D Development
The design takes three-dimensional form in Pietrasanta, a Tuscan town internationally recognised for its artistic craftsmanship and tradition of working with form.
SESTO FIORENTINO — Exclusive Moulds
Each design is transformed into a custom-made mould in Sesto Fiorentino. Developed exclusively for Lume, these original moulds ensure that every shape remains distinctive to our collections.
FLORENCE — Handmade Production
The candles are finally hand-poured and finished at Il Candelaio, a social workshop in Florence that creates employment opportunities and supports the inclusion of people experiencing social marginalisation.
This fully Tuscan production journey reflects our commitment to original design, local craftsmanship and responsible manufacturing.
Social impact & responsibility
Lume Candles Firenze collaborates with Il Candelaio, an artisan solidarity workshop in Florence.
Here, people who have been pushed to the margins – often homeless or socially excluded – find a space for work, dignity and community.
Choosing this candle means supporting:
handcrafted production instead of mass manufacturing,
a local social project in Florence,
the upcycling of recovered wax that would otherwise be discarded.
The tone is premium and understated: no exaggerated claims, just transparent, traceable impact.
How to Use & Styling Ideas
Designed to elevate both everyday moments and special occasions, Silhouette candles bring elegance, height and character to any setting.
Arrange them in pairs for an intimate dinner, or create rhythmic compositions along long banquet tables for weddings and exclusive events. Their distinctive 40 cm profiles pair beautifully with floral arrangements, fine linens, ceramics and contemporary tableware.
Beyond the dining table, Silhouette makes a refined decorative statement on consoles, mantelpieces and sideboards, even when unlit.
Each set includes two silicone adapters, allowing the candles to fit securely into a variety of compatible candleholders. Always ensure each candle is stable and upright before lighting.
How to care for your Silhouette candles.
Place each candle in a stable, heat-resistant candleholder, using the included silicone adapter when appropriate.
Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before each use.
Keep candles away from draughts, direct heat sources and flammable materials. Maintain at least 10 cm between burning candles.
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep away from children and pets.
Do not move candles while the wax is hot or liquid.
The approximate 10-hour burn time per candle may vary according to environmental conditions and use.
